SELDA is a leadership academy jointly sponsored by the Georgia Department of Education and Georgia Council of Administrators of Special Education designed for the new Special Education Director. The purpose and focus of SELDA is to prepare new special education directors for the responsibilities associated with their job. All first time participants will be given a one year’s membership in all 4 professional associations for special education administrators in Georgia: Georgia Council of Administrators of Special Education (G-CASE), Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE), Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), and the Georgia Association of Educational Leaders (GAEL).
