Up through April 2011, the Division for Special Education Services and Supports published a monthly District Liaison (DL) Update that was distributed each month to all special education and state school directors and personnel, Georgia Learning Resources System (GLRS) directors, Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Support (GNETS) directors and state agencies and programs. The updates included important information about Special Education rules and regulations, professional learning opportunities, important dates for the coming months, and other pertinent information concerning special education.
Due to the overwhelming amount of information included in each monthly DL Update, the Division for Special Education Services and Supports has changed the format for how information is sent out to all special education and state school directors and personnel, Georgia Learning Resources System (GLRS) directors, Georgia Network for Educational and Therapeutic Support (GNETS) directors and state agencies and programs. A Friday Email Blast is now sent out each week by the Division for Special Education Services and Supports. All the weekly email blasts for each month have been compiled into one document and can be obtained below.
