School Nutrition Program Mission
The mission of the School Nutrition Program is to provide leadership,
training and technical assistance, and resources so that local program
personnel may deliver quality meals and education that contribute to the
nutritional well-being of Georgians and their performance at work and school.

- Georgia's HealthierUS Schools
177 Georgia Schools are recipients of the HealthierUS Schools Challenge (HUSSC) Award. An initiative set by the USDA, the HUSSC is a voluntary certification initiative established in 2004 to recognize those schools participating in the National School Lunch Program that have created healthier school environments through promotion of nutrition and physical activity.
