Science initiatives have been implemented to support and enhance the quality of science education in the state of Georgia. In order to accomplish this, the state was divided into four regions. Each region has four Science Implementation Specialists with their main focus centered on classroom instruction, mentoring and support of science teachers, communication of best practices and policies regarding science education, and informing teachers of professional opportunities.
